Margarita Hawk was born in the vibrant and bustling heart of Mexico City, where her early life was filled with color, family, and a strong sense of tradition. After graduating with a degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Escuela Internacional de Turismo, Margarita felt called to explore new horizons—and so, in her early twenties, she moved to the United States.
Among her greatest joys and accomplishments has been becoming the mother of three incredible young men.
Her professional journey in Waldorf education began in 1996 at Camellia Waldorf School, where she served as a Kindergarten teacher for seven years. From there, she joined the Sacramento Waldorf School community as a Gardening teacher, Spanish teacher, and Sponsor of the class of 2009. During the 2012–2013 school year, she had the joy of working at Davis Waldorf School as a Kindergarten Teacher—an experience she holds dear for its warmth and strong sense of community.
Since 2013, she’s been a Kindergarten teacher at Sacramento Waldorf School, and alongside my classroom work, she’s continued to support other educators as an Early Childhood and Spanish Education Consultant.
