At Davis Waldorf School, 8th Grade Graduation is a day when the whole journey comes into view and the gifts of a Waldorf education are seen in full. The culmination of years of growth, learning, friendship, and transformation. It honors the full arc of a student’s journey at DWS, from the wonder-filled days of early childhood through the completion of middle school. As our graduates take their next steps toward high school and young adulthood, they do so with confidence, courage, and the roots of this community beneath them.

Ceremony & Celebration
Each student is honored individually, with reflections that speak to their unique gifts, challenges, and spirit. Through music, speech, and shared memories, the community bears witness to who the graduates have become and who they are becoming. It is a moment of gratitude for the teachers who guided them, the families who supported them, the friendships that shaped them, and the years of integrated learning that helped them grow in knowledge, confidence, creativity, and purpose. It is a sendoff wrapped in love, intention, and hope as they step into the next chapter of their lives rooted in all that the Davis Waldorf experience has offered them.
