Open House
Friday, February 6, 2026, 4:30-6:30 pm – Open to the Public
The Open House provides the school community and prospective families with an opportunity to view student work from preschool to 8th grade, learn about the Waldorf education philosophy, curriculum, and unique approaches to holistic child development.
“
The heart of the Waldorf method is that education is an art-it must speak to the child’s experience. To educate the whole child, his heart and his will must be reached, as well as the mind.
Rudolf Steiner
Learn More About a Waldorf Education
Open House is a special opportunity for the whole community to see Davis Waldorf School’s campus! Each classroom is open and transformed into its own gallery space. Students will be available to answer questions about their projects, and teachers will be on hand to describe the pedagogical approaches behind them.
There will be live musical performances, refreshments relating to a class’s “main lesson” block, and curriculum highlights from woodworking to science experiments. What exactly is a “main lesson” block? Come to Open House and find out!
