Director of Community Development and Outreach

 The Davis Waldorf School (located in Northern California near Sacramento) seeks a full-time member of our Administrative Team for our school that houses a full Waldorf program on our beautiful 5 acre campus.

Our 30 year old school serves approximately 200 children from preschool – 8th grade. We have a strong and experienced faculty dedicated to working out of Anthroposophy. The administrative team (Director of Pedagogy and Programs, Director of Finance and Operations, Director of Community Development and Outreach, bookkeeping, enrollment, development, registrar, and receptionist) work well together supporting the tasks necessary to deliver a full accredited Waldorf curriculum. Our parents are invested in their children's education and in the school, bringing great enthusiasm and energy to any project.

The Director of Development and Outreach (DDO) is responsible for organizing, managing and implementing all fundraising and grant writing activities of the school with a high degree of professionalism and integrity. The DDO will also oversee all events, in-reach, outreach and volunteer activities. The DDO is responsible for all marketing and outreach activities, the school website, communications and publications.

We will be contacting candidates who meet the following qualifications: Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in administrative or managerial capacity in a school organization involving responsibility for planning, organization, implementation, and supervision of varied work programs. Bachelor’s degree required. We prefer candidates with a Master’s degree and at least three (3) years of administrative or related experience and one or more years of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of the Waldorf Administrator’s course or equivalent.
